Work with Teacher’s Pet!


As a tutor with Teacher’s Pet, you are an independent contractor and will contract your services to us. We connect you with students in need of your services and help arrange for you to conduct one-on-one tutorials, which can take place in your home/office, a local library, or in the student’s home. You determine the tutorial location(s), which subjects you will tutor, and get to set up your own schedule. There are 3 levels of tutors:

  • Teacher – Bachelor of Education
  • Specialized Instructor – University degree in a related discipline
  • Junior Tutor – University student

  • Seeking high school math tutors in Edmonton, Sherwood Park, St. Albert, and Calgary.

Field Trip Presenter: In-School Programs

Do you feel your best when sharing your love of learning with the world? Do you get excited at the thought of teaching complex or dry subjects in easy to understand and engaging ways? We’ve got just the job for you! Become a Field Trip Presenter with Teacher’s Pet! As an independent contractor, you will travel to schools and present two hour In-School Field Trips to elementary classrooms. Bring your energy, enthusiasm, and creativity and let’s get learning! This position may be combined with Video Conference presentations.

  • Travel required
  • French is an asset, but not required
  • You must have a reliable vehicle

Field Trip Presenter: Video Conference Programs

As an independent contractor, you will use your own internet and computer to present 1.5  hour Video Conference Programs to elementary classrooms. Lots of creativity and energy are a great fit for these programs. Please check out our “Programs” page for more details about specific field trips.  You must have reliable internet and computer equipment.. This position may be combined with In-School Program presentations. 

  • French is an asset, but not required

Program Development

Do you have extensive knowledge about the curriculum? Do you thrive in a team environment to create unique and enriching learning experiences for students? If so, Teacher’s Pet will be a great fit for you! You are an experienced teacher who thinks outside the box. Your computer skills are stellar and your imagination is limitless.

Warehouse Assistant (Temporary – Maternity Leave)

Currently seeking a warehouse assistant to help in preparing/packing/shipping supplies for our programs. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a changing and flexible work environment. Knowledge of the Alberta curriculum is favorable. Prior warehouse experience is favorable but not required

This is a temporary maternity leave contract for 1 year.

The position requires an individual who is flexible with part time to full time hours dependent upon the seasonal job requirements.

Successful candidates must have the following attributes:

  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Responsible, reliable and a positive attitude
  • Exceptional customer services skills
  • Willingness to learn new systems and tasks
  • Willingness to learn new computer systems and software
  • Must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb stairs to access inventory
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and a class 5 driver’s license


· Packing orders

· Shipping and receiving responsibilities

· Inventory management

· Preparing supplies and materials

· Re-stocking and organizing

· Willingness to assist with other office duties
