What Teachers Are Saying

M.M., Grade 6 TeacherStrathcona-Tweedsmuir School

One of the things we like about this field trip is that it fits perfectly well no matter where we are in our unit of inquiry. It works well as an introduction as well as a culminating activity for the unit. Additionally, the hands-on nature of each of the centres is excellent and the students really enjoy being involved in all four of the stations. The students also enjoyed the legend read at the end of the field trip. (In-Sschool Program)

K., Grade 6 TeacherColonel Walker School

I really enjoyed this program! My students were extremely engaged, and I felt as though it gave a very thorough overview of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. This was my students' first exposure to the material and they came away knowing all the basics. It will be very easy for me to supplement their understanding throughout the rest of this unit. Thanks so much for this program; it was fantastic! (Video Conference program)

I have done this field trip several times in the past and it is always well done. I think the stations focus on key areas and the students definitely like participating in them. (In-School program)
